I am not happy with my purchase decision. I bought 2 fans. This one and a hunter model. The hunter is the been fan. Quality control is lacking on the Craftmade. I was missing a bag of parts to mount the first piece to the ceiling box. The remote receiver was loose in the fan housing. The specs did not say if it was an AC or DC motor. Turns out it is AC. The wall switch is a remote. A switch would have been better. Who wants to fumble with which of 7 buttons turns on the light to a dark room. The LED light does not dim and is highly directional. It lights the middle of the room well like a can light but does not spread the light out.
On the plus side the fan is very quiet so far and is well balanced. The install was pretty straightforward.
